If you’re new to working out and strength training, it can be extremely overwhelming in the beginning. “What exercises should I do? How do I do them? How much weight should I use? Do I really need a gym membership? I have no clue what I’m doing!” Sound familiar? . Working out doesn’t have to be complicated. Quick and easy body weight workouts are extremely effective and are a great way to get introduced to more advanced movements. Don’t be fooled by the hype - if you’re just getting started, you don’t need weights or a gym! Just get moving! . I’ve been working out for years and even I enjoy these simple workouts when I’m strapped for time or don’t have the energy to lift a ton of weight but still want to move my body. . When I first started training, I had no idea what I was doing so I would search YouTube for demonstration videos and follow along! . Remember, any movement is better than no movement at all. Free breakfasts at hotels are always a win in my book! Butttttt...the breakfast served is typically continental style and there aren’t a lot of options to choose from. Your choices can either make or break your diet and how you feel for the rest of the day. And if you have a fat loss goal or are looking for optimal health, consistent healthy decisions are crucial! Let’s be honest, the waffle station looks delicious and muffins and pastries are quick and easy in a time crunch. The problem is, these foods provide very little nutritional value and will likely end up leaving you starving shortly after due to their refined, quick digesting sugars and lack of fibre and vitamins. Your best bet is a protein source such as cottage cheese or boiled eggs to keep you fuller longer and pair it with some fruit or whole wheat toast (if your body can tolerate gluten). Another great option is to have scoops of protein powder in a sandwich bag or small plastic container and mix it with the plain oatmeal packs that are usually provided.
