I (Katie) am nursing a sprained ankle today meaning it was a good chance to finalize our corn maze theme for this year. I have a strong feeling we won't be the only ones with this theme #Canada150

Fireblight is a disease that is transmitted in Apple Trees at blossom time (and then proceeds to further harm the tree as it spreads inside it). This year, we have "very high risk" of Fireblight, and we're working hard to protect the trees and blossoms this year. That said, the weather has not been our friend, so we have some signs of it spreading already. So, if you've been wondering how the blossoms look, they are very pretty, but we need to ask the public to stay out of the trees for their safety and to reduce the risk of transmitting the blight further throughout the orchard. We are working hard this weekend to ensure the orchard is ready for Doors Open in June, and you'll be able to enjoy a visit then.

I'm looking at two forecast models, one say's the cold weather is likely going to hurt the blossoms to a limited extend, the other says we'll scrape by unharmed. Cross your fingers, and think warm thoughts!
