Description
Montessori Pointe-Claire is a private daycare, pre-school, pre-kindergarten and summer camp for children from the ages of 14 months to 8 years. At Montessori Pointe Claire we use the philosophy and material developed by Maria Montessori to provide a positive and fulfilling learning experience for young children that will meet their developmental needs at the appropriate time in their lives, and prepare them to enjoy schooling in the future and to succeed at school after they have graduated from our program. Our program is designed to provide a smooth transition from Montessori into the regular school system.
Each child will develop at his own pace. He is unique and needs to be treated as an individual with his own special requirements. The Montessori philosophy is to allow the child to explore based on his own interests at the time. The environment is prepared for him by the educators and he is encouraged to participate, but the choice is up to him. We know that when a child is interested, that is when he will learn.
