This Facebook page is promoting the Peachland Art Gallery in the Mary Smith Hall MANDATE *
The Peachland Community Arts Council, as a non-profit and charitable organization,
has given a mandate to a Gallery Committee regarding the "Peachland Art Gallery"
in the Mary Smith Hall, in the renovated and unique Peachland Historic School on Peachland's waterfront,
- to work towards providing a dedicated art-related, artist-volunteer-run, community space for the presenting, performing, and educating of all art forms to the public
MISSION
The overall art-related objectives are:
- to showcase the work of local and regional artists
- to expose and inform the public, regarding art in all its facets,
both contemporary and historical
- to provide learning experiences, for young and old, both in artistic expression and
in art appreciation
- to provide a forum for cultural expression through art, for all groups, ethnic and social.
VISION *
The long range concepts of the Peachland Art Gallery in the "Mary Smith Hall", are:
- to promote the recognition, enjoyment, and participation of
all art forms, ie literary, performing, visual
- to contribute to the cultural heritage, life and economy of the Okanagan region,
especially with the various publics of Peachland
- to work in partnership with the Municipality, schools, service clubs, businesses, and other
arts- related and supportive organizations
- to raise funds internally, ie PCAC membership, events, projects, and activities
- to seek external grant resources from corporations and foundations

It composed the combined trios of three instructors from the KCMS who are also member players of the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra (OSO) and three of their students who are also member players of the Okanagan Symphony Youth Orchestra (OSYO).
