Just a reminder about our Blast Off PD day program coming up as well as our Home Alone Program being offered on June 9th at North Middlesex YMCA! We're excited about keeping your kids entertained as we build our own solar system, learn about stars and take an inter-galactic journey through space...also, want to give your kids the skills to be able to stay at home by themselves, kids 9 and over can come to our Home Alone program to learn those skills as Sara teaches them about being safe at home!

Yesterday with our outdoor explorers...we explored our community garden in Parkhill! It's an amazing spot and looked after by some pretty special people. Christine talked to us about planting and feeding the worms and Janet talked with us about weeding, taking care of the garden and where we could walk....the most exciting part is that the YMCA kids will have their very own spot at the garden as we plant our own vegetables that will grow and provide for the community! Thanks so much Janet and Christine 👍🏻

You're Invited to come out and enjoy a meal fit for a king...our own North Middlesex YMCA Junior Master Chef's are preparing a meal to show off all that they have learned in the kitchen...all funds raised during this dinner will stay right here in North Middlesex at the Y and support our Strong Kids campaign which improves the lives of children and youth by giving them access to recreation and healthy environments regardless of their financial circumstances 👍 We are super excited to be able to create a fabulous meal for you and your family...come on out on June 20 and enjoy!

Just a reminder to all of our Dragon Boat racers...our first practice is coming up on May 30th from 7-8pm at Fanshawe Conservation area...there are plenty of signs to follow to where you need to go when you arrive there! Please arrive for the first practice at 6:30pm to be able to sign your waiver and collect your shirts if they are in by then. The cost for this is $45.00 per person that covers registration and the t-shirts :) Super excited for this fun event that raises money for such a great cause!

Our outdoor explorers ventured down to our local fire station 🚒 THANK YOU fire fighter Greg for letting us explore the station, answer our questions, teach us all about the important job that you have 🙌🏼 we learned a lot today and we loved hearing the siren at the end...again 😏 Can't wait to see where we explore next week....🔎

It's been pretty busy at the Y during this past week...great fitness classes 🏋️♀️ the kids are having fun both in child minding and boot camps 💃 and the cooking crew are learning a lot in the kitchen and they really enjoy eating it 🌮! Oh forgot we celebrated a fun birthday as well...Happy Birthday Cory 🎂! Looking good everyone and keep moving 🙌🏼
