As a charitable, humanitarian organization, proceeds from St. John Ambulance’s first aid training and first aid product sales directly support these vital volunteer community services programs. For over 125 years, St. John Ambulance has been training over 140,000 Ontarians annually in first aid and other health and safety related courses, and remains dedicated to saving lives at work, home and play. With over 4,000 volunteers contributing over half a million hours of community service a year, St. John Ambulance is an integral part of the community offering such unique and innovative programs as; medical first response, disaster response, health and safety related youth programs, therapy dog services, car seat safety, and search & rescue. What if running let you help your community? Help your community by running the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend! In Ottawa, St. John Ambulance Volunteer Medical First Responders attend more than 200 public and private events every year. The Scotiabank Charity Challenge gives us the opportunity to participate in the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend, engage our volunteers in team building competition, and connect with runners and first aiders across the city. We invite you to run with us in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge. The Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend is great fun for families and runners at all skill levels. There are 5 distance races to choose from including the 2K, 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon. Simply select St. John Ambulance as your preferred charity and your will support our volunteer programs in Ottawa. After registration, you have the opportunity to create your own fundraising page and fundraising team, or join Team SJA. Choose St. John Ambulance as your charity of choice and Register today!
