Motto: Ductores Docemus CFSME is 1 of 9 units within the Combat Training Centre and is the principal training establishment for the Canadian Military Engineers. CFSME is organised into 8 training squadrons and a HQ / Admin element as follows:
Field Engineer Training Squadron (FETS);
Tactics Squadron (Tac Sqn);
Reserve  Engineer Training Squadron (RETS);
Construction Engineer Training Squadron (CETS);
Const Engineer Management  Squadron (CEMS);
Explosive Ordnance Disposal Squadron (EOD Sqn);
Army Dive Centre (ADC);
Standards and Training Design Squadron (STDS) and
Headquarters / Administration Squadron.

Reserve Engineer Training Squadron (RETS) is getting ready for another summer training session. RETS personnel along with help from Admin Squadron are busy building the tented camp. Starting next week RETS will have 2 courses living in the tented camp and at its peak “Tent City” will accommodate over 200 students. Tent City has 64 tent pads, a mess tent, a canteen, an internet café, as well as shower, washroom and laundry facilities. L’Escadron d’Instruction du Génie de la Réserve (EIGR) se prépare pour un été d’entraînement. Le personnel de l’EIGR, avec l’aide de l’Escadron d’ Administration, établit le camp de tentes. À partir de la semaine prochaine, il va y avoir 2 cours qui habitent les tentes et à sa capacité maximal, la « cité des tentes » peut accommoder jusqu’à 200 étudiants. La cité des tentes a 64 plaques pour des tentes, une tente pour le mess, une cantine, un café internet, ainsi que des douches, toilettes et des installations pour la lessive.

The Standards and Training Development Squadron went out for breakfast this morning at the Blue Canoe at the Irving Big Stop. They enjoyed a great meal and did a presentation to a member who is moving to the Tactics Squadron this summer. They were surprised to discover that an anonymous gentleman paid for all 19 meals! What a very generous act and an outstanding show of support to the military! CHIMO! L'Escadron de développement des normes et de la formation a pris part à un petit déjeuner ce matin au Blue Canoe du Irving Big Stop. Ils ont apprécié leur excellent repas et ils ont profité de l’occasion pour effectuer une présentation à un membre qui sera muté cet été à l'escadron tactique. Ils ont été surpris de découvrir qu'une personne anonyme a payé pour les 19 repas! Quel beau geste de générosité et un remarquable geste de soutien au Forces canadiennes! CHIMO!

On 24 April, 9 candidates arrived at CFMSE with hopes of becoming future Combat Diver Supervisors. A critical member of a dive team, the supervisor is an essential part in ensuring mission’s success. The 4 week long course will provide the candidates with the tools required to expertly plan and execute a combat dive task, such as responding to a dive emergency, conducting an underwater search or planning for a deep dive. Ce 24 avril dernier, neuf candidats sont arrivés à l’ÉGMFC en vue de devenir des superviseurs de plongée de combat. Les superviseurs complémente les équipes de plongée et sont essentiel afin d’assurer le succès de la mission. Cette qualification de quatre semaines permettra aux candidats de précisément planifier et conduire des tâches de plongée.

Construction Engineer Superindendent / Real Property Management (Basci) Course Serial 00004 Graduation Parade - During the course of their training, candidates successfully learned the planning, building, and decommissioning of a deployed camp and to prepare them to perform the duties of Real Property Managers. Maj Bidal, CFSME DCmdt, is seen below presenting the Robertson Cane Trophy to the Top Student on course, Sgt Scott of 1ESU Kingston. Parade de Graduation pour le Cours de Surintendant Génie Construction / Gestionnaire de Biens Immobiliers (Élémentaire) Série 0004 - Au cours de leur formation, les candidats ont réussi à apprendre la planification, la construction et le démantèlement d'un camp déployé et de préparer le personnel à effectuer des tâches propres aux Gestionnaires de Biens Immobiliers.
