Great idea! Left over Christmas trees used to slow down spread of non-native carp. Real Christmas trees make great natural habitat if you have a place to put them back into nature - please, get permission and no dumping! In the City of Kawartha Lakes, your options for disposal are to place out on yard waste collection days (chopped up) or bring to the landfill. Today, Dec. 17th will be our last day for regular tree sales for 2017. We still have many pre-cut Balsam fir trees available and the wild area will be open for those looking for a 10 - 20 foot spruce. Our main cut your own fields are closed for the season. Thank you!

Check out this tree leaving in a sleeping bag! We have to say, this is a first and it worked really good! Consider a moving blanket, old sheet or tarp. It can be wrapped around the tree and tied for really easy transporting and less mess in the car and moving it into the house😁

With two successful weekends behind us, we have made the difficult decision to close down the "Cut Your Own" fields, in order to conserve our stock and allow it to replenish and thrive for future years. It has been a wonderful season so far with many new and returning customers. For those looking for 10 foot or taller trees or those who would like to enjoy a walk in the woods, the "Wild" tree area will remain open. We have lots of fresh, locally sourced pre-cut Balsam Firs for you, as we feel this is the best quality option around. The Cozy Shack will still be open. Come and enjoy a hot chocolate or apple cider with your family and friends by the fire!

We understand, some people can't make it out on the weekend. Or, you just don't have the time to bring the whole family. So we have you covered with fresh Pre-cut Balsam Firs that you can conveniently pick up and pay at the gate. We will offer this on Thursdays and Fridays until December 22nd. We have VERY fresh trees!
