OKOTOKS OILERS JORDAN DAVIES COMMITS TO NORTHERN ALBERTA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (N.A.I.T) OOKS OF THE ACAC May 25, 2017 For Immediate Release Okotoks, Alberta - The Okotoks Oilers Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is proud to announce that 20-year old defensemen Jordan Davies (Sherwood Park, AB) has committed to the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology Ooks members of ACAC (Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference) for the 2017-18 season. Davies began his career in Sherwood Park where he played his minor hockey before joining the Okotoks Oilers in the 2015-16 season after a trade with the Nipawin Hawks. Over the past four years in the AJHL, Jordan has played a total of 209 games with 28 goals and 88 assists for a career total of 116 points. In 76 games dawning the Oilers Green & Gold, Davies notched four goals and 44 assists. Head Coach & Director of Hockey Development Tyler Deis, states “Bringing both size and strength to our backend, Jordan put up some significant minutes as one of our team leaders over the past couple of seasons. NAIT is extremely fortunate to have Jordan joining their team.” The Oilers Organization would like to wish both Jordan and his family the best in his future academic and athletic endeavors. Davies is the 5th Oiler to commit to a post-secondary institution in the 2016-17 season joining Jacob Bernard-Docker (University of North Dakota), Jordan Xavier (University of Alaska Anchorage), Tanner Laderoute University of Alaska Anchorage) and Trey de Graaf (University of Alaska Anchorage).
