Sahtu Gardens will be open new hours this year. Starting Tuesday April 18 and running until June 30 we're open Monday to Friday 1-6 and Saturday 10 - 6. Closed Sunday. Come and buy your potting soil, seeds, pots, fertilizer and more. Our store has moved entirely into the flower greenhouse now, so everything is located in one building. We also have coffee for a donation - so come, hang out in the warm sunshine and have a coffee while planning your garden! Accepting cash only at this time, but we'll soon have debit/credit capabilities.

Join the Sahtu Gardeners Page to talk with other gardeners about the upcoming growing season! We would like to keep some records of the varieties people are planting in the Sahtu and your yields at the end of the year so we can better plan our gardens in the future.

Looking to amend your soil this fall? Re-pot your houseplants? Store your carrots? We've got new stock! I have for sale: 18 kg bale of potting soil - $70, this is four times the amount of soil as the large bag we sold this summer, for only $10 more per bag, what a deal! Excellent quality, can be used both indoors and out. 15 kg bag of composted sheep manure - $45, use it to add nutrients to your garden or create your own potting mix 107 L bale of peat moss - $90, store carrots and bulbs for the winter, add to your garden to increase the acidity and lighten up clay soils. 1 bale goes a long way, it is very compacted Some of these products can be used to make affordable, non-packing, garden soil. Here is the recipe I use: 1 part peat moss, 1 part manure or compost, 1 part sand. The parts should be measured by weight. This is not a sterile mix but can be added to your raised beds and is excellent for use in outdoor containers. It is not recommended for use in houseplants. Please call ahead of time to arrange to purchase. 403 352 3073
