Description
Nipawin Daycare Co-operative is a non discriminating licenced daycare. We are licenced for 75 children on two sites. Ages 6 weeks to12 years. Children look beyond imperfections,
To see the beauty within,
A gift that if not nurtured,
With age will fade and dim.

This years main project in our outdoor classroom environment is to make the space more private and shaded. We have started to work on our fence and create an environment that is safe and protected for our children. Over the next few weeks we will be filling in the whole of our exposed metal fences with these 'fence slats'. We are looking forward to having the area less exposed to onlookers and we are hoping it will deter some of the 'interest' that we appear to be getting at press from other (non daycare) children living in close proximity to the daycare.

The staff members, parents and board members of the Nipawin Daycare are so deeply deeply grateful to everyone in the local community who have offered their encouragement and generosity towards us - we are overwhelmed by the love and support that we have received during the last 24 hours. We are so delighted to have received some donated security cameras from Julia Karle and David Rogalzeck (Brandie Lee Rogalzeck) - we will continue to fit more cameras around the daycare as funds allow - but for now we feel very blessed and very humbled by the outpouring of love from members of the nipawin community xx thank you all so very much xx
Ok - where do I start - May is Early Childhood Educators month and the 15th marks ECE appreciation day. Every year it becomes harder and harder to put into words how grateful I am to head up such a wonderful team of workers. They truely are the 'A' team. I have never been more proud of them or more impressed with them all as I am now - the way they work together, communicate, love, forgive, support, encourage, stand by, protect, fight for and embrace each other as extended family members each day - is what i suspect outsiders see and crave for in a workplace and in a relationship with their coworkers. Their passion for each other and their commitment to the daycare family is emulated and clearly reflected in the way they love and care for all of our daycare children and families. I dont know of another workplace that has as many staff members/parents and children refering to it as their 'home from home'. It is a joy to come to work - it is a pleasure to walk in the door - even on the hardest of days - there is always a smile and a cheerful greeting from them all. Our daycare team is the 'dream team' - not only our ECE workers but our administrator, cooks, housekeepers, maintenance workers, board members and our volunteers - all help to create this wonderful family with diverse strengths and amazing talents. Thank you so much for making my life a little easier as a boss and thank you for all that you have done to help us reach this awesomely high standard of care - and for all that you will do in the future to maintain that standard .... I am humbled by your loyalty - and I am proud of what we have all become - to those of you who have worked with us and have now moved on - your contribution has been deeply appreciated too :D xx

A told B, and B told C, I'll meet you at the top of the coconut tree. Our NCD main hallway display is inspired by the wonderful Chicka Chicka Boom Boom story that is a bestselling American children's book written by Bill Martin, Jr. and John Archambault, illustrated by Lois Ehlert, and published by Simon & Schuster in 1989.
