It's a 6 week program designed to teach the fundamental movements of CrossFit while ramping up your fitness gearing you up for a successful fitness journey! This program is a fun encouraging way to get started and make new friends while your at it! Here is what one of our recent graduates had to say after completing the program! ____________________________ "Yesterday was my graduation day from my intro crossfit program. I'm up muscle (there's obvious muscle definition where it wasn't before and I can beat my athletic 15 year old in an arm wrestle with either arm), up energy (sorry colleagues), down inches (just yay!), and generally up mobility and strength (6 weeks ago I couldn't do a proper squat, now I can do one with the weight equivalent to Isaac across my chest and I can deadlift significantly more than my own weight). It costs a little more than just "joining some gym" but it comes with personal trainers that would save you thousands and thousands. I participate with the memory of 18 years of intermittent back issues, ambulance ride and surgery, knowing that they are taking care to teach me proper form and they personalize any movement as needed. Ashley is very skilled at teaching the fine intricacies of movement and Jason will inspire you to "try another 10lbs" and keep watch to whole heartedly celebrate when you're successful. Both of them sincerely look to connect with each athlete and welcome you into the family they have developed. They genuinely thrive off helping members succeed. More importantly, I walked in there six weeks ago, alone and pretty anxious. I walk out having found, as my dad would say, "my people". My New Year, New You team is comprised of seven motivated, positive, inspirational people that I am so thankful to have formed a bond with. Having attended week one of their annual Open Competition, I can attest to the rest of the athletes being of similar nature. I am stoked, though nervous, to move into regular workouts and make those connections. Yes! I laid on the floor exhausted cursing the idea that burpees were ever invented. Yes! in the beginning I prayed for snow days so we could take break. Yes! for a number of weeks I was exhausted and sore.
