Kenmor Theatre is currently owned by Richard and Vanessa Klassen. They also run Candlewick Productions and Danceworks at this venue. When construction began in 1951, Ernie Kendall Sr. intended the Kenmor for live theatre. After his father's death, Ernest W. Kendall Completed the building in 1952 and operated it mainly as a movie theatre. A newsppaper article from the time indicated: "Film entertainment for Mordenites is now found in one of the finest theatres in rural Manitoba, the Kenmor Theatre." The Kenmor replaced the previous theatre, the Starland.

Stan M. Jenkins, Optometrist, had his office beside the theatre until he moved to the Morden Medical Clinic in 1963. Since then the office space has been occupied by a succession of businessesm including a beauty shop.

Vicki Pfeiffer purchased the building and in 2002 the theatre became a venue for live theatre performances by both local and national artists, just as Ernie Kendall Sr. had envisioned.

Based upon the 20th Century Fox motion picture. Adapted by Mountain Community Theater from the novel by Valentine Davies "By chance, Kris Kringle, an old man in a retirement home, gets a job working as Santa for Macy's. Kris unleashes waves of good will with Macy's customers and the commercial world of New York City by referring parents to other stores to find exactly the toy their child has asked for. Seen as deluded and dangerous by Macy's vocational counselor, who plots to have Kris shanghaied to Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital, Kris ends up in a court competency hearing. Especially at stake is one little girl's belief in Santa. In a dramatic decision, the court confirms Kris as the true Santa, allowing Susan and countless other children to experience the joy of childhood fantasy."
