Description
Orange Glow Glass Co. Flame Working Glass Studio. 205 Matheson Blvd E, Unit 2, Mississauga, ON, CAN. Wed - Mon 12 - 9pm. Closed Tuesdays Orange Glow Glass Company is a Flame-working (Lampworking) studio located at 205 Matheson Blvd East, Unit # 2 in Mississauga, Ontario Canada. The studio has space available for renters who don’t own a torch and people who currently have their own torch and are looking for a well ventilated, clean and friendly studio to work out of. Orange Glow also provides classes to people new to the torch.
Orange Glow teaches a range of introductory and advanced group and individual classes. They cover safety, use of equipment and tools and provide hands on torch experience. Classes are available on a variety of subjects including bead making, marbles, pendants and smoke ware.
The Orange Glow studio uses GTT, Nortel torches and Paragon annealers. The large studio easily fits 8 people on the 16’x8’ workbench, providing each artist with a 4’x4’ workspace. The workspace also includes a chair for each station.
Orange Glow encourages businesses and individuals to book group bead making classes (4 people max) to test out the art of glass blowing in a relaxed setting with friends and co-workers. Participants are to expect at least 2 - 8 personally made beads they can take home, after an annealing process and cleaning process, which is about 1 – 4 days.
Orange Glow supplies a variety of tools to students and renters. Blastshield, Mickelson, and Griffin Glass tools are available as well as solid clear and hollow Schott glass. We also carry Northstar, Glass Alchemy and TAG colour rod.
So if you’re in Mississauga and you like to melt glass, come on by and check us out!
