Milton's only dedicated non-heated Yoga Studio open 7 days a week! Our main goal at Life Yoga Studio is to make sure you have fun with your practice. We are all wacky, fun instructors that definitely don't take Yoga too seriously. Life Yoga Studio is a non-heated Yoga studio because we believe you have the right to enjoy Yoga without panting, frizzy hair and heat rashes. We are not here to freak you out, we are here to relax you and help you burn calories, if that floats your boat.

We are westernized and take what we believe is a modern, Western approach to Yoga (leave your Sanscrit-English translator book at home) that means all of our poses are introduced in English and we promise, no embarrassing chanting or forced laughter yoga in our regular scheduled classes. We appreciate that some of these practices are adored by some yogi's so we have arranged workshops for you to chant and laugh until your heart is content. We might throw in an OM here and there because OM'ing is fun and its a sound that brings good vibrations to your chest. Meditation is awesome and sacred to us so don't think you are getting off that one. We believe every Yogi has the right to personal attention so our classes have a maximum capacity of 14 students. We want your life to be as easy and approachable off that mat as it is on the mat. So that means in the last 15 minutes of every class, you get to enjoy an 8 minute corpse pose followed by a 7 minute, guided seated meditation or breathing techniques to send you off feeling like you left La La Land. You're welcome.

Life Yoga Studio boasts 12 ft ceilings, beautiful warm lit chandeliers, large windows and sheer, elegant curtains to create a beautiful ambiance complimented by modern, sleek, soft flooring. All cleaning products used at Life Yoga Studio are eco friendly and naturally derived.

We are so excited to welcome you to Life Yoga Studio so you can enjoy a unique, fun Yoga experience and rave about it to all your friends.

Peace.

TODAYS FEATURED INSTRUCTOR: Leah! Leah has a very natural and casual practice. Very easy going by nature, Leah's classes are personable, enjoyable and funny! You can catch Leah Mondays @ 5:45-Sassy Yoga, 7pm Simply Yoga, 8:15pm Chillaxin', Alternate Saturdays @ 9:15am Yoga With Free Weights, 10:30am Simply Yoga, Sundays @ 7pm, Chillaxin. Here's her bio: Leah believes that there is a yoga practice for everybody. The secret is to find a teacher that speaks to you. It was not love at first sight after she tried her first yoga class 15 years ago, she failed understand the hype and quickly lost interest. Fast forward to 2009 she rediscovered yoga after taking a power yoga class because at that time, that was what her body needed. Despite being an avid runner she watched her body transform to a much stronger and more toned self. The more she practiced it, the more she let go of the notion that it is just a physical practice and became open to the deeper understanding of the mind-body-spirit connections. To help deepen her understanding of yoga, she completed her Teacher Training in 2011 with the amazing Barb Leese. She started teaching classes locally throughout Halton before moving to Montreal in 2012 and started teaching there. Teaching yoga was something she always did on the side while continuing to work in the corporate world. It was not until the Summer of 2014 when she returned back to Ontario that she had the courage to work in the field full-time and she has not looked back. Leah specializes in yoga for beginners, seniors (mature bodies) and runners (her love for hip and hamstring poses since being a runner herself). She loves furthering her studies in yoga and health & wellness. She has completed her yoga for seniors training, started her Pain Care Yoga Certificate and is currently studying to be a Registered Holistic Nutritionist with the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. In addition, she is also Canfitpro certified as a Fitness Instructor and Fitness Specialist for Seniors through the Canadian Centre of Activity and Aging in connection with the University of Western. Leah not only teaches classes at Life Yoga, she helps Alia with all the behind the scenes that make the studio a success.

TODAYS FEATURED INSTRUCTOR: Steph! Steph has a very soulful practice, she speaks from heart centre and brings the self awareness and compassion element to her classes. She brings skill and variety to her classes and welcomes all levels. You can catch Steph's classes on Fridays @ 6pm - Turtle Yoga, Sundays @ 9:30am - Sassy Yoga & 10:45am Simply Yoga, Tuesdays @ 5:45pm - Turtle Yoga. Here's her bio: Steph has always had an interest in movement and yoga, but she never had the intention of teaching when she enrolled in the Chrysalis Yoga teacher training program in 2013. For her, teacher training was a way to deepen her own practice and learn more about her body, which she did accomplish, but she found so much more; She found a love for the physical, mental, and spiritual challenges within her practice and discovered how those lessons affected her daily life. It is now her mission to show others what yoga can do for them and more importantly what they can do for themselves through yoga. Steph believes that just like a fingerprint there are no two practices alike and with that in mind she creates an atmosphere of experimentation within her classes. This allows her students to do what feels best to them and find their version of full expression within poses. She aims to provide a practice where everything is organic and in tune with what the body is asking for in that moment and this means knowing when to push limits and when to find solace in simplicity.

Banana Spice Smoothie

How often do we ACTUALLY have fresh raw fruit daily? Especially in the winter time? We would rather cozy up with a warm tea, hot chocolate or coffee. Mmmm. Good news! Banana Spice Smoothies also offer a comforting, warming sensation thanks to their soothing spices. The bananas work wonders on balancing electrolyte levels and your digestive system and the spices offer antioxidant properties. Cinnamon is also proven to aid in weightloss! TODAYS FEATURED INSTRUCTOR: Marion! Marion has a focus on building endurance in her classes. She can go from a passive, meditative practice to powerful and challenging, staying true to the class style. If you are interested in torching calories and building strength, try out her OMG Insane and Yoga with Free Weights classes! You can catch Marion on Thursdays, 5:45pm - OMG Insane, 7pm - Yoga With Free Weights and 8:15pm - Turtle Yoga. Alternate Saturdays, 9:15am - Yoga with Free Weights & 10:30am Simply Yoga. Here's her bio: I came back to yoga believing it would enhance my own level of fitness and also because I thought it would help me become a better runner. What it did was so much more, transforming my life completely. Yoga has allowed me to soften and grow, be more patient while bringing balance and harmony to my life, my fitness and to myself. It has highlighted the strengths and limitations in my body and in my life. Being a busy mum of 4 small children, it's pretty hectic all the time and yoga brings me closer to peace and calm during those hectic moments. Coming to my mat gives me the space to breathe and think through any of the stressful or demanding situations I face. Being a certified personal trainer, kickboxing instructor and a group fitness specialist, I was already fully immersed in the fitness world when I decided to take my yoga practice to the next level. I completed the Yoga Teacher Training with Chrysalis Yoga Studio in 2014/15. The teacher training has greatly complemented all the avenues of fitness which I had already taken and has provided me the opportunity to meet many amazing teachers and friends to whom I'm eternally grateful for being part of my journey. I teach fun, fast-paced, energetic classes that are designed to strengthen, tone and challenge both the body and the mind. I teach, Sculpt Yoga with weights, Barre, Flow, Vinyasa, Mom and Baby Fit and Ultimate Conditioning.

TODAYS FEATURED INSTRUCTOR: Morgan! Morgan has an alignment based practice and watches her students closely to prevent injury. She like to make sure the students are reaping full benefits of their practice. Very personable and big hearted, she always makes sure everyone is at ease and involves every student in her classes. You can catch Morgan Thursdays @ 10:15am Here is her bio: Although Morgan had practiced Yoga as part of her workout routine it wasn’t until her first Power Yoga class over seven years ago that she really connected, and fell in love with it. When she lost her father four years ago, Yoga was there to relieve some of the grief and she felt the pull to go deeper into her practice. That was when she enrolled in the 200 Hour Teacher Training at Climbers Rock in Burlington under the guidance of Barb Leese. What an amazing experience! She came out of her first day of training knowing that she had found something truly life changing. The connection of mind, body and spirit is uniquely to the practice of Yoga. Morgan jumped right into teaching and hasn’t looked back. Morgan knows that Yoga is for everyone, regardless of age, size, gender or physical ability; it’s not about touching your toes, how deep your lunge is or even standing on your head, it’s about being true to yourself. Morgan is also currently working towards her Ontario Fitness Council Certification for group fitness instruction, as well as continuing training in specialized Yoga, including Yin and Pre and Postnatal. Most importantly, Morgan is blessed to be a Mom to two beautiful, challenging, loving children.
