Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre
Description
Located in Middleton, Heart of the Valley is a 50 unit facility constructed to replace the former North Hills Nursing Home in Granville Ferry under the Dept of Health's Continuing Care Initiative to replace the province's aging long term care facilities. The Heart of the Valley is a state-of-the-art nursing care facility catering to those who require supervision or assistance in performing their activities of daily living.
Clients of Heart of the Valley live in one of four beautifully decorated neighborhoods, where they have immediate access to a common area, kitchen, living and dining area, and spa. Each neighborhood also has access to a beautifully landscaped secure garden area where clients can safely enjoy the paved walking paths and raised flower beds. A hair salon, library, physiotherapy and occupational therapy exercise room and a doctor's clinic are also on site for the comfort and convenience of our residents and those who care for them.
Heart of the Valley also has a training area on site which keeps our caregivers up to date on best practices as well as educates new members of our team on GEM's company-wide policies and procedures.
