Our Public Works Staff worked diligently for 18 hours yesterday to repair a major watermain break on Main Street. Residents may notice some discoloured water from their taps: this is normal after such a large disturbance. Please run a cold water tap until it clears up. We thank you for your patience

Please be advise that there is a water line break on the corner of Water Street and Main Street corridor, traffic will be down to one lane while our Water Dept. and Public Works Dept. are performing repairs. 2018 Recycling & Garbage Schedule: All Mattawa residents should have received in the mail a new updated 2018 recycling schedule. The new colour schedules will replace any schedules you may have already received, and will contain a red H that represents statutory holidays. Extra copies are available free of charge at the Municipal Office or from our website. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
