Our biology is a wonderful thing! It houses who we are ... what we can do, think, remember, plan, feel plus a whole lot more. Its not a reach to say how we feel at any given moment is a biochemical, neurological state, that is influenced greatly by how we eat. Enjoyed sharing what I do in my chiropractic/functional neuro office with these second year Western University medical students yesterday. Super inquisitive and receptive! 4th year to be included in 'the tour' as they spend the week checking out the local hospital and medical practices getting a feel for what rural practice is like. Happy to be doing inter professional sharing!
In my experience with running, if having gone out feeling stressed, within about 10 minutes, I start getting an increasing number of positive options and solutions popping up! "In this respect, Canadian guidelines, which recommend exercise as a first-line treatment for mild to moderate depression, are ahead of their American equivalents. But Australia and New Zealand take it a step further, prescribing exercise as a “step-zero” treatment that sedentary depressed patients are encouraged to try before doctors consider medication or psychotherapy."
Better blood flow to the brain coincident with increased good activation of the brain ... makes the world a better place!

Our biological system innately knows a lot about and can do a tremendous job of cleaning itself up and redirecting itself back to health ... just needs a chance. Autophagy = self digestion aka giving the system a chance to burn up the gunk that is getting caked onto the sides : )
Parkinson's disease is quite likely a decade or more in the making before the classic symptoms start. Lots yet to study to better understand this process...
Looks like a great program offered by a PT group ... punching against Parkinson's and the neurodegenerative process.
As with any type of treatment or therapy, tracking progress is essential. The ways and means are improving!
