I've been having some fun training this mare!Considering that she has only about a month on her, I'd say she's a pretty sweet horse 😎

I had a fun time today sorting pairs at the community pasture on this neat two year old gelding who belongs to one of my clients.It feels good to get the young horses out of the arena for a bit and do some ranch work on them. I find that it helps them mature and they feel refreshed. Then when I head back to the arena to refine things they are ready to go to work.

The Ranch Country Horse Sale in Maple Creek was another successful sale. I piloted the two year old filly 'WKK Smart Genes' for owners Wayne and Kim Knaap. Congratulations to them as this quiet filly was the high seller for the two and three year olds. Also a big Congratulations to my brother Seth who claimed the high selling spot of the entire sale with his outstanding five year old gelding!

It's certainly a huge disappointment to announce that I am scratching my gelding Joaquin lot #48 from the Ranch Country Horse Sale on Saturday. He was injured and although he is expected to make a full recovery it is going to take a few weeks before he is 100%. I would like to thank everyone who has expressed interest in him and my hope is to offer him for sale once he is back to his usual self. Joaquin sells September 9th at the Ranch County Horse Sale in Maple Creek Sk.He has done all types of ranch work from dragging calves at many brandings to making miles checking cows out on the ranch, to sorting pairs. Here is a video of the outstanding two year old gelding Jeeps Genuine Spark "Sparky" that I am offering for sale at the Medicine Hat Ranch Horse sale July 28th. This gelding has the athletic ability,cow sense and trainable mind to make a top reined cowhorse, ranch or rope horse. He also has the speed to make a nice barrel prospect.
