Dear Friends & Family Please see the following info. 2018 Herring Dear Stz’uminus Membership It is that time of the year that herring are preparing to spawn in our traditional waters. We haven’t seen herring in our traditional waters for a couple of season’s now but are working with the DFO test vessel to access some whole herring for distribution and we are hoping the herring will spawn so we can gather herring roe for distribution as well. FYI: Our objective will be harvest for our Elders and if we have extra roe or whole herring we will provide to those members who request some. Please contact either Warren Johnny or Roger Elliott at the band office to put your name down. If you are interested in receiving herring or roe should we be successful in catching herring and gather roe this year. Stz'uminus Administration (250)245-7155 Warren Johnny or Roger Elliott
