Kentville Volunteer Fire Department
Description
Kentville Volunteer Fire Department responds to 300-400 emergencies each year! From our chief to our probationary members, we are all volunteer! On behalf of the membership of the Kentville Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD), I would like to welcome everyone to our Facebook page. The KVFD was established in 1888, and provides services to the Town of Kentville, Municipality of the County of Kings, and Mutual Aid to neighbouring fire departments.
Some members of the Kentville Fire Department are involved with specialty services with Wolfville Fire Dept., Canning Fire Dept., and New Minas Fire Dept. These services consist of Hazardous Materials Team, High Angle Rope Rescue, and a Cold Water Rescue Team.
The Kentville Volunteer Fire Department responds to an average of 300-400 calls per year. Including, but not limited to, motor vehicle accidents, fires, alarms, water rescue, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and more...
If you are ever in the Town of Kentville, please stop by and meet our friendly staff, explore our state-of-the-art equipment, and take a tour of the facility (which includes a museum).
