Do you have some spare time during Dec 2-10? The 2017 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings is just a few weeks away! We have partnered with the Ottawa Senators Foundation to run the 50/50, the OSF has committed to spend their portion of the revenue on youth curling in the Ottawa Valley. The Ottawa Valley Curling Association and Curling Canada are also committed to supporting youth with their proceeds. The 2016 Tim Hortons Brier netted $86K through the 50/50 for local curling initiatives. Volunteer mobile 50/50 sellers are needed for The Patch, daily starting at 12:45 pm to 4:30 pm and 5:45 pm to 8:15 pm and in the Canadian Tire Centre the same shifts. The Ottawa Senators Foundation will provide the training and free parking in Lot 8 for volunteer sellers. Sellers must be 19+ years of age. I am hoping you will be able to reach out to your curling community (members, parents, etc) to help round up a dozen or so volunteers. I realize that for some and the distance to get to Kanata makes it impractical and others are already volunteering (but I also did not want to exclude anyone). We have 40+ volunteers already. Anyone in your curling community that is interested in volunteering should contact me directly by email (ebrimicombe@rogers.com). Thank you and see you at the 2017 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings!
