Human resources and Professional Development Assistant and Sales/Marketing Coordinator Position Summary: This position will report to the Director. • You will be responsible for all HR related matters for an assigned client group that includes: performance management and compensation, training and development, recruitment and retention, employee relations, and HR reporting and metrics. • You will be responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program Responsibilities: • First point of contact for employee on all HR related matters, • Provide effective coaching, counseling and progressive disciplinary strategies on all employee relation issues, up to and including terminations. • Identify training requirements and attendees within assigned client group and support employees in the creation and implementation of robust development plans. • Assist with the compensation, performance potential and talent review cycles and vacation tracking. • Assist employees and managers in conducting on-time quality performance reviews and offer necessary resources. • Coordinate the development of a marketing and communications strategy to promote the sport within the community • Work with others at Kanata GymnoSphere to implement marketing campaigns • Plan, organize, lead and control public relations efforts • Assist in the management of the GymnoSphere website • Specific knowledge of and practical experience both using and administering key social media tools (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) Qualifications: • Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant employment standards and legislation in the province of Ontario. • Demonstrated ability providing beneficial and practical recommendations to resolve employee relations’ issues related to regulations, laws and policies. • Strong team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to a changing environment. • Analytical thinker with initiative to resolve problems and handle through conclusion. • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills (written and verbal), with an emphasis on negotiation and influential skills. • Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision and manage a large volume of activity during peak periods, to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines. • Highly developed interpersonal skills, able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times. • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint) • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and timelines Interested applicants should forward a cover letter, including salary expectations and a resume in confidence to info@kanatagymnastics.ca

Job description: Type of position : Full time (32-36 hours/week) Position Title : Gymnastics Coach (3 positions available) Place of employment : Kanata, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Immediate supervisor : Competitive/Recreational Directors Start date : September 1 2018 (possibility to start earlier if available) Kanata GymnoSphere is the newest large gymnastics facility in Kanata, Ottawa (15,000 sq. ft). We offer an extensive recreational and high-level competitive program. Our programs are growing and we are currently seeking three full time coaches. Job Requirements Knowledge of English (spoken and written) (French is an asset) Minimum of 1 year of experience in a competitive program Minimum level 1 technical NCCP Willingness to obtain a Level 2 and/or Level 3 certification will be an asset. Motivated, engaged, enthusiast, friendly. Excellent capacity to plan for and manage a training group Demonstrates the ability to successfully assist athletes in reaching goals Ability to work in a team environment Required education: High school Diploma Must have positive communication skills with both children and parents. Flexible work hours are required. Typical workweek includes afternoons, evenings, and weekend shifts Job Responsibilities Coach all programs as required (to complete full-time hours and club needs) Ensure athlete progression and achievement of goals Works in collaboration with all coaching staff to develop athletes and ensure club success Benefits Medical Benefits included.
