The Hinton Mountain Bike Association welcomes Casey Hore as our new Sprockids Coordinator!!! Casey, a parent with two young kids in the Sprockids program, brings a lot of energy and ideas and is looking forward to the upcoming Sprockids sessions this Spring. Tim Trahan, the Sprockids Coordinator for the past 4 years, Sprockids Coach for the past 6 years, and the Operations/Trails Board Member between 2009 and 2013, has stepped down from his coordinator role, but will still be actively involved as a coach. The HMBA is very excited for the continued involvement of our members in such a valued program as the Hinton Sprockids. Thank you Tim for the great job and dedication you have provided and thank you Casey for accepting this new role!!
Hey HMBA members, there is some new Firesmart work that is finishing up just south of town ( south of the golf course ). The Firesmart work is creating a fire break that will help keep the community safe in the event of a fire. The government is just finishing up work on the fire break this week and it did intersect our trails. They are committed to working with HMBA to getting these trails back in riding shape by summer so don’t be alarmed. If your riding up, running or walking to the view point and see a wide open space. It’s there for a reason. As soon as the snow melts we will be out there with the Gov’t getting it back into shape.
