It is an across Canada initiative to support street-involved and low-income women by bringing awareness to the needs of women who find it necessary to choose between feminine hygiene products or food for their children each month. Women should have to choose. Research of local food banks have indicated that personal hygiene items such as pads, tampons, diva cups, etc., are seldom donated but often needed! With your help, our monthly Tampon Tuesday events will stock food banks with personal hygiene supplies, one box at a time!!! http://www.tampontuesday.com

Do you know how your t-shirt was made?
WOW! We think of how far we have come in the world of labour, then you read an article like this and think, we still have a long way to go with respecting the dignity of ALL labour. Profit over the people who actually do the labour?? There is something definitely wrong with that. Unions make us stronger, they provide us with a voice, they respect the right to living wages and fairness in the workplace.
CUPE president on efforts to keep Hydro One public
You tell'em Fred Hahn!! Hydro belongs to ALL of us!! For profit means higher costs for all of us!! Does the available evidence support privatizing local hydro? Are private distribution utilities more efficient or lower cost than publicly owned ones? The answer is NO!
