We'll, that does it!!! Tonight's nearly sold-out show featuring Open Highway: "A Tribute to Merle Haggard" was a crowning moment to cap off the 2017 Season. It was an amazing evening of music - 3 hours on stage: 1.5 hours of songs from Merle Haggard & 1.5 hours of songs from various artists - mostly requests from the audience. The crowd loved it!! To that affect: One Monday Night, at 7:00pm we will be having "A night of Classic Country Music - Country Favourites" This sow will feature the two frontmen from "Open Highway" and a third musician. As well, we provide entertainment to locals and contribute to the local economy. We also employ 21 people during our season. While you may be trying to make a point by doing this, you're only highlighting how unsupportive you are to our town and the Burin Peninsula. To others, if you see someone tearing down a poster - take a picture and bring it to the manager. Foolishness shouldn't be tolerated in our town. Take pride in what we have! Just to clarify about the show on Monday Night - An Acoustic show refers to music played on an acoustic guitar and not an electric guitar. There will be all you're favourite Classic Country songs, Singins, jokes, laughter & Fun. It's an awesome show that the two guys from Open Highway have put together. It's been well received in Gander & Clarenville and everyone enjoyed it. Browse Facebook and you'll find comments from people who didn't go but regretted it. We're fortunate that they could fit this Monday Night show into their summer schedule.
