CBT Training Support Fee - Program update Year end application submissions: As per prior years TFSP is requesting that courses starting in March, applications must be submitted by March 21st. For courses starting in April, applications cannot be submitted until after March 21st, and will not be approved until after Apr 2nd. Golden Community Social Services Coop is Hiring... Social Justice & Poverty Reduction Coordinator What does the Social Justice & Poverty Reduction Coordinator do? Offers a safe and welcoming environment for all people Supports residents as unique and dignified individuals Assists residents in navigating systems and overcoming barriers (including Income Assistance, Persons with Disabilities, pensions, rental subsidies, and much more) Collects program related data to inform future projects and initiatives for Golden and other rural communities around the province Provides advocacy and public education opportunities What traits and skills should a Social Justice & Poverty Reduction Coordinator offer? Empathy and patience Supportive without being overbearing Genuinely enjoys engaging with others Appreciation of confidentiality and its challenges in a small town An understanding of poverty and its impacts A passion for social justice Willingness to learn new things Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs Email and digital navigation proficiency Professionalism in communication Organized, reliable, and excellent time management skills Works collaboratively with others ​What else might a Social Justice & Poverty Reduction Coordinator offer?
