FRCA hosted a Family Day event on Feb. 18th. We appreciate everyone being so understanding about the change in date due to weather conditions. Special thanks to all our volunteers and staff who helped out and a very big thank you to our sponsors, especially foodBasics in Goderich and Tim Horton's on Highway 8 in Goderich. Now we're counting down the days until the park opens for camping on April 20, 2018!

FYI due to recent unfavourable weather conditions the crokicurl activity will not be available at this event. We apologize and we are disappointed too.

We've looked at the weather forecast and decided to celebrate Family Day a day early! We're switching our Family Day activities to Sunday Feb. 18th. We won't be able to offer sleigh rides, but most of our other activities will go ahead. Staff have the Crokicurl rink ready to go and snowshoes will be available for rent ($3). There will also be lots of refreshments, a campfire, children's activities and maple taffy. Due to the change in date admission will now be by donation. See you there!

Due to the weather forecast The Family Day Event has been changed to Sunday February 18. Join us for snowshoeing, hot dogs, popcorn and maple taffy candy. Warm up with free hot chocolate and coffee by the campfire. Unfortunately sleigh rides will not be available but you can try your skill at our newest attraction "Crokicurl". This uniquely Canadian game combines the game of crokinole and the sport of curling. Entrance is by cash donation. See you on Sunday for some healthy outdoor family fun!

Maitland Conservation staff have been using Falls Reserve as a site for conservation education programs this fall. We've welcomed students from a wide range of grade levels and schools. Thank you to the staff at Falls Reserve for making this programming possible!

The last campfire has been put out and today the camping season at Falls Reserve comes to a close. Thank you to our seasonal campers and short stay visitors who made this such a great year! We're already planning for 2018. The park remains open for day-use visitors throughout the year, but during the off-season you will need to park at the gate and walk in. See you next year!
