Today was an eye opener for one of my customers who called me about a dryer that was not drying well. Upon my initial inspection i noticed no airflow outside, I cleaned out the vents and took apart the dryer. The base of the dryer had about a 1/4" of lint built up, but the scary part is the lint was burnt from one end to the other, like a grass fire. This could have easily caught the clothes on fire and then the house. I cant stress enough at the importance of a dryer cleaning every year.
