I always like to show the work of talented people. Check out this gallery of metal art (he also does practical items like railings, etc) done by Michael Perks of Alberta. He does beautiful work and has received lots of awards for his art. Look for the tarnished horse and the mechanical bull--they're pretty amazing! http://www.michaelperks.com/Gallery/Gallery.html

It's a sunny day with a long weekend coming up! My Country Home will be open all weekend--Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (10-5) and we're having our first promotion of the year. We would like you to try our candles! Whether you're a frequent buyer, or have never tried them before, it doesn't matter--we would like you to have one FOR FREE! ($20 purchase required, one per customer) For those who don't know, Countryside Candles formerly belonged to a local couple, Lynn and Dan Neville, who operated the business for years in the area. I bought their business 2 years ago and now make the candles myself. I hope to do some craft shows sometime this year, but as of now, they are only available at My Country Home. So there are lots to choose from! We have almost a thousand candles in stock, in 77 different scents, with some new ones this year and plenty of old favourites, so I'm pretty sure you can find something you like. Stop in to My Country Home this Easter weekend for your FREE candle, and take a look at all the new items we have just received, too! Both the Rustic Barn and The Flea Market are full of new "stuff", and lots of new things in the store as well. Please note, a $20 purchase is required to receive your FREE candle, one per customer

This is a photo of the donations we received for Bernadette McCann House of Pembroke. They have been picked up and delivered (over a week ago, I'm a little behind with my posting lately). I'm sure they will be put to good use. Thank you so much for your donations!
