These are the angel points, where actors perform high up on the hills surrounding Canada's largest outdoor stage - a view big enough to take in the sun and the moon. We're into our second rehearsal weekend. Last year this is what happened at the end of the second weekend. A little rain. A little sun. And then a double rainbow.

Aaron Krogman reprises his role as Jesus in the 25th season of the Badlands Passion Play Aaron, quoted in the Red Deer Advocate , says about playing Jesus: “a disruptor, a wrench in the system… more interesting than imagining him as a beatific peacenik, surrounded by children and lambs." Last weekend, the 2018 cast gathered for their first weekend of rehearsals. Each summer for the last 25 years, hundreds of volunteer actors have travelled and given their time to portraying this epic story for thousands of visitors from around the world. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment is inspiring. This year, The Institute of Outdoor Theatre awarded a Certificate of Merit to one of our actors, Tim Berlando recognizing his "outstanding and unstinting volunteer support of the Canadian Badlands Passion Play over the past 5 years".
