Osteopath

Isabelle is a graduate of Kinesiology from the School of Lyon, France in 1981. Thereafter she immigrated to Quebec and completed her studies at the Montreal College of Osteopathic Studies where she obtained her Diploma of Osteopathy (D.O.) in 1994.

Isabelle was the one of the first Osteopaths to set herself up in West Island. She has a varied clientele including kids of all ages with specific attention to children with special needs and pregnant women. Recently Isabelle expanded her horizons perfecting osteopathic veterinarian care for animals (cats, dogs and horses mainly). Personally having cats at home, this decision was obvious!

In her own practice, Isabelle promotes the patients having a sense of responsibility towards their own health. This responsibility is shown through a healthy lifestyle in terms of food and exercise. Yoga and Pilates are examples of activities that Isabelle regularly recommends to her patients. The fact that we have instructors actually on site at the Continuum clinic is a major asset for the consolidation of osteopathic treatments.

Isabelle was one of the first presidents of the Quebec Association of Osteopaths which has worked towards the recognition of the osteopathic profession for over 20 years. Isabelle is not only an expert committee member of the Quebec Order of Professions, she is also currently Vice President of Osteopathy Quebec, an organization representing the majority of quality practicing osteopaths in Quebec.

Isabelle is interested in different alternative medicines and works in conjunction with Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine and Homeopathy amongst others. She actually teaches Osteopathy in Croatia and is regularly called upon to travel abroad to represent Osteopathy in Quebec.

Being bilingual French / English, Isabelle is active and regularly practices volleyball, yoga, swimming and skiing while maintaining horseback riding closest to her heart.

Isabelle est diplomée d’état en Kinesitherapie de l’école de Lyon en 1981. Elle immigre au Québec et complète ses études en Ostéopathie au Collège d’études Osteopathique de Montreal . Elle obtient son D.O. en 1994.
