Happy Thursday! With another successful tax season behind us, I would first like to say, thank you for all of you who we prepared taxes for, secondly thank you for all your support over the years and cheers to many more to come! Tomorrow Friday May 5 our office will be closed however we will re-open for regular business hours on Monday May 8. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

Hey Peeps! Remember personal tax deadline is Monday May 1. If you think you may owe taxes, you need to get them filed so you don't receive penalites for late filing! If you are in a refund, they are still coming fast, file your taxes and get your money within days! DIR will be open Monday May 1 till 5pm, come and file your taxes and beat the deadline!

That's right, 2016 brings a new refundable tax credit so that teachers and early childhood educators can now claim a 15% refundable tax credit on up to $1,000 of supply purchases per year! ~*~ FUN FACT FRIDAY ~*~ Haven’t filed your personal taxes yet this year? Or maybe in the last few years? You need to read this post and give the girls at DIR a call (250-782-2022)! Did you know... - Some DIR client’s tax refunds are coming within 10 days of signing via direct deposit! - That most of us northerners are in for a refund on our personal taxes? If you have not filed your personal taxes, you could also be missing out on GST payments or other supplementary funds owed to you on a monthly or quarterly basis! Depending on your career path such as a trucker or an employee who receives a Declaration of Employment, you could be missing out on hundreds or even thousands of dollars in refunds. Have we convinced you yet to get your taxes filed with DIR? Call us @ 250-782-2022, but just in case, here are a few more nudges.... The economy was rough on a lot of us last year and some of you may qualify for the Working Tax Income Benefit. No income for last year or any year? You still will receive a $75.00 refund just for being alive! Do you owe BC medical? That headache may go away if you file your taxes. If you are in a refund, depending on your refund and amount owing, some or all of your refund will go to pay your medical bill. Missing any T4 slips, EI slips or any other slips for your taxes? What about past years? Don’t worry; DIR has the ability to retrieve those slips for you. Call DIR @ 250-782-2022. Are you picking up your phone yet to call us? One final nudge from DIR… Not only at DIR are you going receive excellent service and are able to communicate with knowledgeable staff, but you will also receive a DIR Client Loyalty card!
