Our mission is to strengthen the capacity of Prairie View School to improve student learning by helping families to support their children. The purpose of the PVSCC is to develop shared responsibility for the learning success and well-being of all children and youth and encourage and facilitate parent and community engagement in school planning and improvement processes.

facebook.comThe Council will be running the Book Fair from February 6-8. On February 6 classes can look at books. Classrooms will visit February 7 & 8. We will open to public on February 7 from 6:00-7:30.
February 12-16 will be our annual Staff Appreciation Week. Members of the council will be contacting parents to seek volunteers to provide treats for PVS staff each day of the week. We will also provide lunch for the staff on February 16. We invite families to spend a little time with their children to write a little note of appreciation that can be given to their teacher and any other staff he/she would like to acknowledge during that week.
Something new for families at Prairie View School. We will be opening the school book fair on February 7 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM for book sales. Buy some books to help support our school's literacy initiatives!
Thursday is our annual appetizer meeting! Everyone brings an appetizer dish to share. PSSD Board of Education Dalmeny representative George Janzen will attend. Bring your questions! Free childcare provided. Meeting starts at 6:30 pm.
Dalmeny Police Service will be speaking about Internet Safety to parents while children watch a summer blockbuster. There will be snacks and door prizes!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2017 parent survey. We received 60 submissions and the results will be highlighted at our Annual General Meeting. Respondents had the option of entering a draw for one of two gift certificates to Steph's Place in Dalmeny. Winners will be contacted by email.
