Thank you to all who came out on March 1st to the Creston OCP Open House! We had a great response with lots of positive feedback. Building on this success, we continue to accept public comment and the following opportunities for review still exist: 1) The OCP draft document is online (creston.ca) for review and comment. Please share this link with other community members and friends! Comments and suggestions are gratefully accepted by emailing the Town of Creston at info@creston.ca. Comments can be received up until May 2nd at 3:00pm. http://www.creston.ca/2235/Official-Community-Plan-Review 2) Wednesday, April 19th – Information Meeting (Open House Style) will be held in Town Council Chambers. Everyone is welcome. This is a great opportunity for those who were unable to attend the large-scale March 1, 2017 Open House. 3) Tuesday, May 2nd – Public Hearing will be held at the Creston & District Community Complex (Erickson Room). Design guidelines for our downtown. Provisions for legal secondary suites throughout the community. A new recreation area on municipal forest lands. Encouragement for community block parties. Plans for Market Park - a heart for our community. Stronger protections for our creeks and waterways. Support for efforts to develop ride-sharing and other transportation alternatives.
