The Farmers' Market is getting ready to award it's Good Earth New Farmer Bursary. This started as a way for farmers & community members to pay it forward and support the development of new farmers which are integral to our market and our community food sustainability. We have so many deserving farmers this year and we are trying to raise extra funds to give out just one more bursary. The number one barrier to new farmers by far is land pricing. While this bursary can't buy farmers land it can ease some of the early season cost burdens. Last Year's Winners are favorites at the market: Lost Savanna, Fleur de L'Ile and Lentelus If you feel like you can support this award, please visit the market desk and speak with Twila or Jennie, they would be pleased to tell you more and let you know what your donation does.
