We are very proud of our instructor Teema Palluq and students Bruno Immaroitok and Max Natanine for their successful caribou hunt in Rankin Inlet. Bruno and Max learned knowledge and skills around caribou hunting and for Max, it was his first caribou catch. Max and Bruno are sharing their photos and experiences with their classmates and yesterday we shared meat with Elders and community members with a feast. The skins will be used in Piqqusilirivvik sewing programs to make traditional clothing. Thank you to the Rankin hunters who helped us with this program. Our Summer/Fall 2017 course is off to a great start, stay tuned for more.

Very proud of our Baker Lake program where they just completed a successful land trip to the treeline. The instructors and students travelled the long distance to collect wood for building traditional tents later this summer. The experience taught students land skills, travel/survival skills, and knowledge about the treeline area and places along the way. We recognize the important work of our Baker Lake coordinator Silas Arngna'naaq and his instructors! Great job to all!
