Description
Well known Artist, Photographer and Muralist. Born in Ardossan, Scotland, award-winning photographer, muralist and painter Cim MacDonald has made the Cowichan Vallery her home since 1972. Her art is held in corporate and private collections around the world.
Cim is the curator of the wold famous murals of Chemainus. Her work sees her travelling the world and consulting the expertise of other artists to stay abreast of art restoration techniques. To date she has completed 8 refurbishes, painted 2 murals of her own design and created faithful Emily Carr reproductions for a third. It is testament to her artistic versatilit that she is able to learn and mimic myriad artistic styles in her work.

Cim MacDonald is a fine artist and photographer. Working from her home-based studio, she is surrounded by the ever-changing vistas that inspire her art. MacDonald’s photography is now recognized as much as her fine art.

Born in Scotland, Cim MacDonald came with her family to Victoria when she was seven. She completed her schooling with a Major in Art. After working for the Provincial Government in Victoria, she took a job in Crofton, where she spent the better part of 20 years.

Cowichan Performing Arts Centre
Will Datené & Cim MacDonald will be displaying their artwork in the Gallery at the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre from December 1st to January 31st. The gallery is open for public viewing one hour prior to Theatre show times. Private viewing can be arranged by contacting the artist directly.
