Home Alone Safety for Kids is a one day safety program using games and activities that prepares children aged 9-12 how to stay home alone safely.

Great news for Lansdowne area boys and girls aged 11 and up! Red Cross Babysitter Training will be held upstairs in the fire hall, behind TLTI offices on Saturday, Feb 24th from 9am-4pm. Does your child feel comfortable and safe being "home alone"? Do they want to learn how to care for younger siblings and other children? This full day includes a review of important safety skills, how to care for children, lots of first aid, including how to use an epi pen and asthma inhaler, infant and child CPR demonstration and practice. $55 payable to TLTI (1-866-220-2327, ask for Cara) includes a take home workbook; sibs are discounted. Boys and girls aged 9-12 will learn about street smarts, stranger danger, tricky people, the importance of rules and routine, safe snacking, internet and fire safety, and first aid using games, videos and other fun group activities. $55 includes a take home workbook.
