Views from the Pews! Sunday May 27th, 2018 The United Church of Canada will be 93 yrs. old on June 10th. But the church needs more than rules; it needs spirit. The Holy Spirit and the commitment to make a difference. From the scripture reading today we learned that Nicodemus wanted to know more. (to be more like Jesus) The answer was to be born anew, filled with the spirit. When you are powerless, go forward and ask Jesus to help you. Hope you have a great week. Heather Darling

Views from the Pews! Mother's Day May 13, 2018 Pastor Kim gave a wonderful tribute to Mother's. She used the story of Naomi and Ruth, mother and daughter in-law. She used the word Hesed to describe their love. It means a compassionate and committed love. Like the the love God has for us. The children handed out carnations, which could have included a tissue. Pastor Kim closed with a story of undying love, passed on through generations, (Love You Forever by Robert Munsch) which did bring tears to many. Hope everyone has a great week. Heather Darling

Views from the Pews: Sunday May 6th, 2018 Pastor Kim spoke of the Good Shepherd and Psalm 23. The children's story showed how we need to plugged into a power source to work. Jesus is our power source. Like God has spoken in scripture, "I am the way, the truth and the life". Our job is to plug into His truth and share it with others. We are the sheep, He will guide and comfort us as we follow His will. Don't for get to plug in and have a great week. Heather Darling
