This Mediterranean-inspired dining room, features an open kitchen allowing full view of your meal as it is being prepared, and you the opportunity to chat with the chef's at work. Menus change to reflect seasonal ingredients but current features include house marinated salmon and free- range Muskoka chicken. May – Sept lunch, dinner daily. Tuesday-Saturday after labour day. David Friesen Executive Chef of Riverwalk Fine Dining
Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia Chef David Friesen is at the forefront of the SAVOUR Muskoka movement to incorporate local ingredients in menu planning. While studying at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology his unique talents were quickly uncovered by the prestigious Relais & Châteaux organization where he completed his apprenticeship and worked for another six years. Friesen then moved to Toronto where his distinctive west coast imprint influenced several fine establishments including North 44, Terra Restaurant, Pusateri's Fine Foods where he launched their fine dining catering division to great acclaim and the Liberty Entertainment Group.
In 1999 Friesen then moved north to Muskoka where as Executive Chef of The Complete Angler Restaurant followed by the Wildfire Grille at TABOO he remained at the forefront of a culinary fine dining revolution in the region
Brimming with new ideas and an insatiable appetite for a culinary challenge Friesen purchased Riverwalk and Club 1 in 2001. Consistently recommended by WHERE Muskoka Magazine and with several Readers Choice Awards from the Bracebridge Examiners Friesen’s mark has been felt. Check out both the Flavours of Muskoka event in June and at Field to Fork in August where David Friesen will be featured along with other fine area Chefs.
He and his beautiful wife, Lisa, are enjoying the Muskoka lifestyle with their daughter, Madeleine and son, Nicholas.

Just a reminder
We are closing for a few weeks for a bit of a holiday and to do some restaurant maintenance before our crazy summer season is upon us. We will be closed March 13- April 5th. Reopening Friday April 6th. Messages and emails will still be checked so feel free to email us. Have a wonderful few weeks.
We had the wonderful privilege of catering the Bracebridge Chambers Gala last night. 😊❤️. Thank you to everyone that helped us make this a great evening. Chef David Friesen and Megen Snead were rock stars to prep all this food 🥘 that made this event a great success. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners. We were happy to be a part of your night.

Some of our wonderful features and menu items. Mussels with shallots,roasted garlic, spinach in a white wine sauce. Pan seared Ontario pickerel with a blood orange salsa Braised Ontario lamb shank on garlic mashed potatoes 😍😍 Come join us for lunch or dinner. Tuesday-Saturday 11:30-2:30 and 5:30 onward.
