Pancake Tuesday has arrived! Enjoy Pancakes in the parish hall this evening - from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Tuesday February 2nd we celebrate the feast of the Presentation of the Lord. You are invited to come to Vitamin F (Faith Nourishment) for a time of conversation, teaching and prayer. We shall gather for refreshments at 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 2nd. You are encouraged to bring some candles from home and they will be blessed during our prayer.

Feast of the Baptism of the Lord: Remembering Our Baptism On Sunday January 10th we celebrate the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord marking the end of the Christmas season. This feast is a wonderful time for us to recall our own baptism. At your family meal you may consider taking a few moments before you begin, to pray a prayer of thanksgiving for all those who handed on the gift of faith to you and your family members. Remember to thank God for the gift of godparents, the priest or deacon who baptized and the parish where the baptism was celebrated. If you do not have your baptismal candles consider lighting a candle for each family member. The time of thanksgiving could conclude with this prayer: Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation. Today we give you thanks for the gift of baptism. Give us grace to live in your love and help our family to draw closer to you by faith, prayer and example. All glory is yours through Jesus your Son in the communion of the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.

January 1st we celebrate the Feast of Mary the Mother of God and World Day of Peace. Mary as the first disciple shows us that being open to God’s will fosters peace within her own life. As disciples may we choose to be open to God’s will, to foster peace in our hearts, homes, communities and world.
