Today marks the last day of the 24th annual Quilt Show, and what a show it was! The ladies (and a few men) are already thinking about the 25th. The skill and creativity of Geri Blew's fused glasswork have been introduced to the Peace Country and beyond to wide acclaim. Both shows clo9se at 4 p.m. Sunday is opening day for two new shows: the annual High School student's art show and the sublime watercolour paintings of gemstones by Jennifer Wohlgemuth. Hope you can come for the 2 o'clock reception.

That's Erin Kyle's exquisite quilt above, one of the dozens on display in the 24th annual quilt show at the Beaverlodge Art and Culture Centre until April 27. After admiring the array of fabulous quilts at BACS, stop in at Around the Block and Erin will teach you how to do the paper piecing design. And in the Mini Gallery take in the bright display of fused glass artwork designed and created by artist extraordinaire Geri Blew. Only six days left.
