The National Bee Diagnostic Centre (NBDC), located in Beaverlodge, AB, is the first comprehensive laboratory in Canada to provide a full array of diagnostic services for honeybee pests, diseases and parasites. The NBDC TAC is a not for profit unit of GPRC CRI that collaborates with beekeepers to maintain a healthy profitable and dynamic bee industry in Canada. We provide confidential and independent bee diagnostic services, training, applied research and innovation services.

Russell Bowers from CBC Radio came to visit the NBDC yesterday. Patricia, our Diagnostic Technician, gave him a tour of the lab. In the photo she is showing Russell a sample of Varroa mites. Stay tuned for the completed radio piece. :)
