AUSTRIA CONNECT Gulf 2016 Commend took part at the most exclusive Austrian business conference in the GCC, held by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA (Foreign Trade Promotion Organisation). The 7th edition of the annual conference took place at Raffles Hotel in Dubai. Austrian subsidiaries in the Gulf gave an insight into their own activities and approaches towards the upcoming powerhouse – Africa. Our Business Developer and CEO of Commend Middle East Georg Winkler participated in a panel discussion themed „Rethink GCC – to Africa through Arabia?“.

Commend Art 2016 ... the next step. The 350 graphic prints were sent to the local social entreprise "AusbildungsFit" for finalisation this morning. This job takes a lot of skill and a good sense of responsibility to do well. We are confident that the folks at “Projektraum” will complete the job to our full satisfaction. AusbildungsFit is a programme where young people who are having difficulties finding a job receive guidance from a team of dedicated and highly motivated counsellors who will help them gain a foothold in today’s world of employment. The Austrian Community in UAE together with lots of international guests and high ranking local politicians and Business People celebrated the AUSTRIAN NATIONAL DAY in ABU DHABI. The Shangri La Hotel with its location opposite the Grand Mosk was the perfect place for the Event. The Austrian Ambassador Dr. Andreas Liebmann and the Austrian Trade Counselor Mag. Richard Bandera welcomed 600 around guests. It was a great celebration, thanks to the Team of the Austrian Trade who did a wonderful job in organizing the event and also gathered lots of Sponsoring.

We were very glad to host the Plenary Meeting of the IEC Technical Committee 79, Workgroup 13, at the Commend International headquarters. The international Group, consisting of participants from China, Japan, Italy, Spain, Germany and Switzerland, enjoyed the Austrian food and hospitality.
