Die Stiftung Mozarteum Salzburg bewahrt das Erbe Mozarts und schlägt in den drei Bereichen Konzerte, Wissenschaft und Museen eine Brücke von der Tradition zur Moderne Die Stiftung Mozarteum Salzburg ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein, der als Konzertveranstalter und in der Wissenschaft tätig ist und das Mozart-Wohnhaus und Mozarts Geburtshaus betreibt. Mozarts Erbe zu bewahren und wechselnde Sichtweisen auf Mozarts zeitlose Kunst zu eröffnen und neue Zugänge zu finden ist das Anliegen der Stiftung Mozarteum, die 1880 gegründet wurde und ihre Wurzeln im "Dom-Musik-Verein und Mozarteum" von 1841 hat. The Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation is a non-profit organization whose primary focus has been the life and œuvre of Wolfgang Amadé Mozart. The organisation offers concerts, maintains the Mozart museums (Mozart’s Birthplace and Mozart Residence) and supports academic research. The foundation was founded in 1880 by citiziens of the town of Salzburg and has its roots in the “Dom-Musik”Verein und Mozarteum” [Cathedral music society and Mozarteum] from 1841.
