Would you like to rescue a female Weimaraner? Here at Somerford we have been fostering a female Weimaraner for a little while. She is not a Somerford bred Dog. Her owner contacted us for help as unfortunately was no longer able to care for her due to a change of circumstance and needed to find a new home for her quickly. As we live in the same city we decided to rescue her and help her owner by taking her in straight away. We have spent time doing some basic training with her so that she will go to her new home with some manners and a sense of command and routines. The ideal home for her would be a home with no other dogs, an owner who would set up strong rules and be firm with their word and someone who will further her training as she is intelligent but head strong. The new owner should also have experience with dogs in the past and would live about a 300kms radius around Newcastle NSW for ease of pick up. For the owner she will be a loving companion who will not need to compete with other dogs in the household. She is happy to laze around and does not need heaps of activity. She is 2 years old and is in a very good healthy condition. She is happy inside the house and outside in the yard. She does not dig holes but has had the odd chew here and there like most dogs. So a good selection of chew toys is a good idea. She should live to a ripe old age of 13 or 14 years so this is a commitment. She likes to play and loves a good belly rub. If you are interested please send me a PM with your name, city, email address and contact phone number. Thanks.
