Vegetable Rava Uppma An excellent breakfast, vegetable rawa upma is easy to cook, delicious and even healthy. Ingredients 1 cup semolina (Rava) (fried or roasted till light brown) ½ tsp Mustard Seeds (Rai / Sarso) 1 small bunch curry leaves (kadi patta) Optional 2 onions, chopped 2 green chillies chopped 1 tomato, chopped 2 carrot, chopped Handfull of fresh green peas 1 tsp lemon juice 8 -10 tsp Oil 2-3 tsp Ghee or Butter salt to taste Method: Heat the oil and butter in a pan. Add the mustard seed, let it splutter add curry leaves, chopped chilies and chopped onions. Fry till the onions golden brown. Add chopped vegetables and fry for few minutes, and then add chopped tomatoes. When oil comes out from vegetable and tomatoes, Add one glass of water to this fried ingredients add salt, mix well. Add rava slowly and stir well, with out forming lumps. Once its done add lime juice. Serve with green chutney or coconut chutney.

Kale Chane Ke Kabab Ingredients: 2 cups soaked and boiled kala chana (brown chick peas) (Tip: Add salt to taste while boiling chana) 1 boiled potato 2 Slice of white bread 1 big onion,finely chopped 1 ginger (adrak) , grated 1 1/2 tsp garlic (lehsun) paste 2 green chillies,finely chopped 1 tsp chaat masala 1 tsp garam masala 1/2 tsp chilli powder 1 tsp coriander (dhania) powder 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder salt to taste Method •Blend the boiled chana in a mixer with little water till smooth. (Tip: Try to use less water.) •Transfer the paste in a bowl, add the remaining ingredients and mix well. •Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into small round flat kebabs. •Heat the oil in a pan, add the kebabs and shallow fry till they turn golden brown and crisp from all the sides. •Serve hot with dhaniya pudhina chutney
