Thanks to our lovely partners at The Good Guys and part of their Merry Giftmas campaign, they have kindly donated this fridge to the McInnes family. As you can see they were very excited to retrieve this generous gift.

The Hope Centre has historically run and hosted hospitality courses over the past few years we have run a programme called True Steel which works with our under thirties who are affected by long term unemployment or in fact have never been employed. This is often connected to areas where generational unemployment is a massive issue. True Steel works beyond the labels, targeting a 'gap' in the market where training offered is sensitive to the needs of those long term unemployed and those most disadvantaged in our society. We have helped bring success stories from the first few rounds of the programmes from the first few rounds of the programmes and have seen people from Australian indigenous groups, those suffering from mental health challenges, those with a disability and people with a history of drug abuse. True Steel provides training for young people who experience inter-generational disadvantaged suburbs in Australia. Currently 82% of our students are securing employment and further education pathways through to University of Wollongong. This has all been enabled by support of the federal government with an initial funding package followed by a two year commitment which will see 135 students through by the programme. If you feel like this is you and wish to broader your horizons please contact Gally at the Hope Centre on 0403 922 533 or e-mail at gally@hopecentre.com.au
