Sometimes rayon yarns can become crinkled during the dyeing process, or even after storage. This is how I straighten them out, it also works to invigorate old tassels or new.

Finally threaded a needle and used some stranded cotton in Stonehaven. Found another vintage doily I had left out in the yard rusting for a week. I love surprises like that. Unlike the the one I got in the shed yesterday... seems my blue tongue lizard is back.
